Advancing Educational Equity in California 

The Student Success Coach (SSC) Learning Network aims to advance educational equity in California by immersing Student Success Coaches in K-12 school communities and collaborating with teachers and administrators to provide holistic support, mentorship, and tutoring for diverse students in historically under-resourced communities.

Through the VISTA program, I have the chance to empower families who remind me where I come from. I get the opportunity to encourage students and in return, they give me hope for the future. The program is impactful because we are serving communities that we are a part of. Receiving this award is an honor, but the real fulfillment is the work!
